The India Chapter of NLGI-USA was formed in 1997, and it has since been very active, rendering services to the Indian grease industry by conducting education courses on various grease-related subjects relevant to consumers/manufacturers, organising round-robin tests on various test methods, conducting grease conferences, and publishing the quarterly journal “Greasetech India.” This Society has membership from all the major petroleum industries in the public and private sectors, as well as other related industries and research institutes, etc. The primary objective of this Society is to bring the grease industry-related personnel, including consumers, onto a common platform so that their mutual business interests can be discussed and shared. NLGI-IC has so far successfully conducted 27 grease conferences, 24 Grease Education courses, 6 round-robin tests, and published over 100 issues of “Grease Tech India.
